Despite wholeHEARTEDLY believing in education's power to create change, without the framework for job creation, a high school degree will only go so far. Seeing viable change is contingent on the opportunity for the students to enter into the labor force post-graduation. Without access to some form of occupation, the students will graduate, face the daily struggle of unemployment, and as a RESULT, their kids will be in the same set of circumstances. The goal is to support the development of a stable and durable community THROUGH TEMPORARY allyship, not to commit to a perpetual state of charity.
A sustainable society requires many layers and Lueur, Inc. believes education is just a first step to that end. This is marked 'a vision' because, for the time being, there are no active initiatives in place. Supporting a vulnerable community is not something that should be taken lightly or carried out without extensive consideration, counsel, and tactic. In the interest of consistent and secured employment, the current objective will be to successfully fund 3 kickstarter campaigns. Making a promise to a community, including for employment, without proper systems and evidence for long term subsistence, is harmful, negligent, and inexcusable. Good intentions aren't enough and Lueur, Inc. pledges to stand by these principles.
Upon successful funding of each campaign, the programs will be initiated through community lead movements. The intent is to be a resource and partner to Madame Beauge. despite unfair, discriminatory views spread through many outlets, Haitians are diligent, innovative and capable of bringing change to their own community with the right tools.
The first campaign will be live on April 15th, 2019. If you’re interested in nutrition and food sustainability, this campaign is for you! Stay posted by signing up below!
